MOS Church, Udupi, celebrated Youth Day on Sunday, August 9, 2026, with great enthusiasm. The celebration began with Holy Mass at 7.00 a.m., with Fr. Denis D’Sa as the main celebrant and Fr. Leo Praveen, Fr. Vijay D’Souza and Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, ICYM Director of Mangalore Diocese and Regional Youth Director for Karnataka, as concelebrants. The vibrant youth led the liturgy and choir.

The Youth Day programme, “Youth Café – A Day of Faith, Fellowship, Creativity and Self-Discovery,” was held at St. Mary’s English Medium School, Kannarpady. The inaugural programme was attended by the priests, resource persons, PPC office-bearers and Youth Commission animators.

Fr. Ashwin Cardoza conducted an engaging session on “Insecurities and Unmasking the Real You,” followed by interactive games and action songs led by Fr. Leo Praveen.

The parish proudly felicitated young achievers Rebecca Maria Rodrigues, Miss Mangalore; Ronan Lewis, recognised for his underwater breaststroke achievement; and Zaneta Velika D’Souza, winner of three gold medals at a state-level roller-skating tournament. Prizes were also presented to winning groups for their creativity, teamwork and participation.

The celebration concluded with a joyful fellowship lunch.
