The newly formed Senior Citizens Club of Udupi parish was inaugurated by the parish Priest V. Rev Charles Menezes on the 8th of December 2023. Fifty-eight members were present. He advised the members to participate actively in the programmesand assured them of his help and support. Mr. Leslie Aroza, Director of the Family Commission of Udupi Diocese, gave tips to elders on leading a healthy and peaceful life. Mr. Alphonso D’Costa, the newly elected president, explained the facilities available to the Senior Citizens.

Aims of Senior Citizens Club:
1. Bringing together the seniors
2. Availing the benefits
3. Medical checkups and means to maintain good health
4. Helping the needy, living happily and peacefully through togetherness

Proposed programs for the year 2024:
1. I.D. Cards for Senior Citizens
2. Blood group and B.P. check-up
3. Awareness program by the authorities of Legal Cell and Senior Citizen Department
4. Visits to pilgrim centers
5. Get-togethers of the members four times (as and when)
6. Senior Citizen Day Celebration
7. Visiting weak and sick elders and helping them
8. Spending time in the church campus for activities on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m to 6:30 p.m
