Udupi, June 21, 2026:

The Social Communication Commission and the Youth Commission of Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi, jointly organized an awareness programme on Responsible Usage of Social Media and Mental Health on Sunday at Ave Maria Hall @ 8.30 a.m.

Around 150 participants, including YCS/ICYM youth, parents, and parishioners, attended the programme.

Fr. Denis D’Sa, Parish Priest of MOS Church and Director of the Diocesan Social Communication Commission, presided over the programme. Fr. Leo Praveen Asst Parish Priest, and the PPC office bearers were also present.

Mr. Calvin Alan D’Souza, a Mental Health and Youth Professional Development expert, was the resource person. He spoke on responsible social media usage, its impact on mental well-being, and practical ways to maintain digital balance.

The programme commenced with a PowerPoint presentation. The informative session was well appreciated by all participants.

 Breakfast was arranged for all before the programme began.
