On August 10, 2025, the Mother of Sorrows Church in Udupi hosted Youth Day for its ICYM and YCS members. The event, held at Ave Maria Church Hall, saw an attendance of 49 young people.

The day began with a special prayer for the youth during the 7:15 a.m. Sunday mass. Following the mass, attendees gathered for breakfast at 8:15 a.m. Mrs. Maria Pereira, the YCS Animator, served as the master of ceremonies, welcoming everyone to the program.

The parish priest, Rev. Fr. Charles Menezes, shared a message with the youth on how to present themselves to the world. Also in attendance was Fr. Vijay Dsouza, the principal of St. Mary’s English Medium School and Brother Leevan Mathias.

The formal part of the program was followed by a series of games. Fr. Leo and the animators—Mr. Joel Sequeira, Mrs. Reshma Mathias, Mrs. Maria Pereira, and Mrs. Roselyn Gomes—planned and led three engaging games for the members.

After the games, Clinton Suares, the president of the ICYM Udupi unit, shared his experience and gave a vote of thanks. The event concluded with a group photo of all the participants.
