On August 16, 2025, the youth of ICYM and YCS, along with parishioners from Mother of Sorrows Church in Udupi, warmly welcomed the cross from Perampally parish. A group of 40 youths and 50 parishioners gathered to receive the cross at 4:25 p.m. The event began with a heartfelt prayer session led by parish priest Fr. Charles Menezes and four youth members: Priyanka, Joshita, Ranson, and Sweedle. Fr. Leo Dsouza, Fr. Vijay Dsouza, and Brother Leevan Mathias were also in attendance, showing their support for this spiritual exchange.

The next day, the Udupi parish held a powerful one-hour Taizé prayer service with the cross. Youth volunteers decorated the altar for the event, which was attended by 35 young people and nearly 100 parishioners. Led by Fr. Leo and accompanied by the church choir, the service offered a time of serene reflection and communal worship. The parish priest Fr. Charles Menezes and Fr. Vijay Dsouza were also in attendance throughout the prayer

The cross continued its journey on August 18, 2025. Following a short prayer by the Parish priest Fr. Charles Menezes at 5:15 p.m., a procession of cars and two-wheelers escorted the cross from Udupi to St. Francis Xavier’s Church in Udyavar. Along with Fr. Leo Dsouza, ten youths and a group of parishioners accompanied the cross, which was carried with great reverence. The procession reached its destination at 5:35 p.m., where the group joined the Udyavar community for a final prayer before heading back, filled with gratitude for their two days with the KRYC Cross.
