On 8th May at 4.00 p.m., the parishioners of Mother of Sorrows Church gathered with prayers and good wishes to bid farewell to Fr. Charles Menezes.
The newly appointed Parish Priest Fr. Denis D’sa wished him well, and Fr. Charles thanked everyone for their love, support, and prayers during his service in the parish.
Parishioners along with priests accompanied him to Our Lady of Church, Shirva .where many faithful had gathered to welcome him along with priests of the diocese.
Fr. Stephen Dsouza, representative of our Bishop, led the oath ceremony and officially handed over the charge as Fr. Charles took charge of his new responsibility.
This was followed by a brief felicitation programme to warmly welcome the priest.
