Welcome to the Missionary Childhood Society in MOS Udupi, where young hearts come together for a noble cause! Our society, rooted in the principles of compassion and global solidarity, empowers children to be active participants in mission activities. Through prayer, education, and fundraising initiatives, we foster a sense of responsibility and awareness, nurturing the next generation of compassionate leaders.
The Missionary Childhood Association was founded by Bishop Charles Forbin Janson in 1843. Pauline Jaricot suggested that he involve children in helping other children around the world.
Our Mission:
At the Missionary Childhood Society, our mission is clear: to engage and inspire children to contribute to missionary efforts around the world. We believe in the power of unity and the impact that even the smallest acts of kindness can have on the lives of those in need. Through our activities, we aim to instill a sense of empathy and a lifelong commitment to serving others.
What We Do:
1. Prayer Initiatives: Our society encourages children to connect with their spiritual side through prayer. We organize prayer sessions, where children can learn about different cultures, communities, and global challenges. Together, we lift our voices in unity, sending positive energy and goodwill to those in need.
2. Educational Programs: Knowledge is a powerful tool for change. We conduct educational programs that expose children to the diverse world around them. From learning about different cultures to understanding the challenges faced by communities worldwide, we empower children with the information they need to make a positive impact.
3. Fundraising Campaigns: Small contributions can make a big difference. Our fundraising campaigns focus on collecting donations for missionary projects that directly impact children and families in underserved areas. By participating in these campaigns, children not only raise funds but also cultivate a sense of responsibility for the well-being of others.
