On September 5th, Teachers’ Day was celebrated at Ave Maria Church Hall after the Holy Mass. The programme was graced by Rev. Fr. Dennis D’Sa, Fr. Leo Praveen and  Fr. Vijay D’Souza,. The Parish Council Vice President, Secretary, Commission coordinator and         Sr. Priya, Superior of St. Cecily’s Convent .

The Chief Guest, Dr. Thomas J. Quadros, Principal of Glowing Star School, spoke about the challenges faced by teachers today, including increasing academic demands, adapting to technology, meeting diverse student needs, and balancing professional responsibilities. He highlighted the important role teachers continue to play in shaping the lives and values of young people.

The Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Denis Dsa congratulated and appreciated all the teachers for their dedication and service.

Arlene Fernandes and Dr. Nisha Gaga were felicitated for their achievements in the teaching field. Sr. Sujothi, who will retire this year, was also honoured for her dedicated service.

The celebration continued with fun games and entertainment and concluded with a fellowship dinner.
