Palm Sunday Celebration at Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi 29 March 2026

The faithful of Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi, gathered joyfully to celebrate Palm Sunday at the Super Bazar.  The solemn ceremony began with the introduction and the Word of God, followed by a procession to the church, with the congregation carrying their palms and singing hymns. The main celebrant, Fr. Charles Menezes, in his homily reflected on the Scripture readings and psalm, emphasizing humility and inviting the faithful to meditate on the psalm.

Co-celebrant Fr. Vijay D’Souza assisted in the mass, while the choir’s soulful singing filled the church, creating a deep spiritual atmosphere. The church was full of faithful, that marked the beginning of Holy Week with reverence and devotion.
