Udupi, September 15: The titular feast of Mother of Sorrows Church was celebrated with great joy and solemnity on Monday, September 15. The chief celebrant, Fr. Vishal Lobo, Parish Priest of Perampally, in his homily reflected on the theme “Mother Mary –  Queen of Hope,” inspiring the faithful to look toward her as a model of strength and trust in God.

Fr. Charles Menezes, parish priest of Udupi, warmly welcomed and expressed gratitude to all who joined the celebration. The Eucharistic celebration was enriched by the participation of 26 priests, making the event spiritually uplifting.

Mrs. Vincent Furtado and family graciously sponsored the feast. After the Mass, refreshments were served, followed by a short entertainment program, Housie Housie, organized by the ICYM Udupi unit.

The celebration reminded all present to carry forward the spirit of hope, compassion, and unity exemplified by Mother Mary, encouraging them to be beacons of faith in their communities.
