The Commission for Education organized a meaningful and joyful Teachers’ Day celebration for all the teachers of Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi. The program aimed to honour and appreciate the selfless dedication of educators in shaping lives and building a better future.

The event began with a prayer song, followed by a wishing song and engaging games that fostered fellowship and warmth among the participants. The teachers were felicitated with mementos as a token of gratitude for their tireless service. The program also featured a heartfelt vote of thanks and an inspiring welcome speech.

Rev. Fr. Stephan D’Souza, Chancellor of the Udupi Diocese, graced the occasion with his presence, lending spiritual encouragement to all. Fr. Vijay D’Souza, Principal of St. Mary’s English Medium School, extended his warm wishes to the teachers, acknowledging their pivotal role in the academic and moral growth of students.

The chief guest, Sr. Priya Maria AC, addressed the gathering with uplifting thoughts and reflections on the significance of education and compassion in teaching. Rev. Fr. Leo Praveen D’Souza, the President of the program, encouraged the teachers with his words of wisdom, inspiring them to continue their noble mission with renewed passion.

The event was thoughtfully organized by Mrs. Maria Crasta, Coordinator of the Commission for Education, along with her dedicated team. Their efforts made the celebration a memorable occasion that not only honoured teachers but also strengthened the spirit of community and shared purpose.
