On 23rd August 2025 from 9am to 1pm, Health commission of Mother of Sorrow Church Udupi, has taken the initiative to organize “Blood Donation Camp” in Ave Maria Hall, MOS Church Udupi. The camp was jointly organized by the Health commission of Udupi Diocese, Health Commission of MOS Church Udupi and Apporva Mahasangha, MOS Church Udupi. Members of Blood Bank Red Cross Society, Kundapur branch were the resource persons for the event.
50 males and 6 females donated the blood. Total of 56 units of blood was collected during the camp.
One unit of blood can save up to 3 lives. 56 units of blood will be used primarily in hospitals and blood banks to save lives (around 160 patients). It will support surgeries, emergency transfusions, and help in treating patients’ critical illnesses like cancer, hemophilia, and thalassemia.
