On 6th July 2025, the Young Catholic Students (YCS) members of Udupi Deanery joyfully celebrated Vanamahotsav Day by engaging in a meaningful tree-planting activity. The event was organized with the aim of promoting ecological awareness and encouraging youth to protect nature. Parish Priest Rev. Fr Charles Menezes as resource person enlightened the students on the importance of afforestation and caring for creation. Students planted a variety of saplings such as fruit-bearing, and shade-giving trees in church campuses.  Each participant took a pledge to nurture and protect the sapling they planted. The celebration was a powerful reminder of the YCS motto, “See, Judge, Act,” applied in service of Mother Earth. Through this event, the YCS members renewed their commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable living.
