Youva Ekthar – 2024, organized by the Youth Commission, was a transformative event aimed at helping the youth of our parish realize the potential of their minds. The program began with breakfast at 8:15 am, right after the first mass at 7:00 am. The morning included a brief introduction of our esteemed
spokespersons.

The event was inaugurated by Fr. Vijay Dsouza (Principal of St. Mary’s School), Fr. Leo Praveen Dsouza (Assistant Parish Priest), Brother Shaun, and Mr. Patrik Loy Pinto (Coordinator of the 20 Commission). They symbolically planted a tree, representing growth and sustainability. Rev. Dr. Ivon D’Almeida and other distinguished guests on the dais were welcomed with roses.

Rev. Dr. Ivon D’Almeida delivered an inspiring talk on ‘Mind Our Own Mind,’ exploring how we can better understand and train our thoughts. Through various examples, he demonstrated effective strategies for problem-solving and self-improvement. The session included engaging small games and action songs to
keep the youth actively involved.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressions of gratitude, a group photo, and delicious lunch. The event was a resounding success, with participants gaining valuable insights and a commitment to applying these teachings in their lives.
